Principals Message

At Crittenden County Middle School, we firmly believe that the healthy working relationship between school staff, parents, and guardians is an integral component for individual student success. I would like to personally invite each of you to become involved in the amazing academic and extracurricular events planned for this school year. We believe that as a parent or guardian, you are your child's first and most important teacher.

This year, the school administration, teachers, and staff will strive to act as models of good citizenship for the young people you allow us the privilege to serve each day. I promise that all of us at CCMS will do whatever it takes to make our students successful. With the support of our caring staff, we promise to provide quality instruction every day in a rigorous and engaging environment, so that CCMS students leave our school fully prepared for success in high school and beyond.

As principal, I promise to work tirelessly to ensure student safety from the moment he or she steps onto the bus or out of your vehicle until your student is returned to your care each day. CCMS is a place where all types of students are loved and accepted. It is my firm belief that school safety represents something greater than secure front doors. Students can only actualize their true potential when free from the stress of a negative school environment. It is my vision for this school to represent a safe haven, where inquiry and learning are free to flourish.

I have great expectation for every CCMS student this year. I expect your child to work diligently and to challenge him or herself to ask questions and learn more every day. I don't expect your child to be the best. Instead, I expect each student to be his or her personal best during the upcoming school year. Working together, I am sure that incredible strides toward academic excellence will occur. Certainly, these are high expectations. However, I am certain that the students at Crittenden County Middle School will meet or exceed any challenges I set forth.

Kara Turley,

Principal CCMS
